We are the contracted garbage hauler for the city of Garfield.

  • Monday & Thursday: Zones 2 & 5
  • Tuesday & Friday: Zones 1 & 3
  • Wednesday & Saturday: Zone 4

Please bring your garbage to the curb the night before pick up.

White goods will be picked up on Thursdays by appointment only. Make your appointment with the DPW by calling (973) 340-2000 x4220.

  • Monday & Thursday: Section 1
  • Tuesday & Friday: Section 2
  • If your street name is not listed, you may be a resident of the village of Haverstraw.
Please bring your garbage to the curb the night before pick up.
 

We do not pick up bulk items, white goods, recycling, or construction debris.

  • Monday: Garbage pick up
  • Thursday: Garbage & bulk item pick up (not construction debris)
  • Friday: Recycling; commingle and cardboard/paper collection alternates every week.

White goods are picked up on the first Wednesday of every month by appointment only. Please contact the Midland Park DPW to be put on the White goods list. 
 

We are contracted to pick up vegetative waste (grass, brush, and branches) from April to October.  Brush pick up will resume April 3, 2024

The DPW of Midland Park is responsible for leaf collection and Christmas tree removal.

  • Tuesday & Friday: Garbage pick up. There is a limit of 2 bulk items per collection day.

Construction debris will not be accepted.
